Wat een feest om hier een week te mogen verblijven. Gelegen op een heuvel in een oase van rust met overal waar je kijkt een fantastisch uitzicht. Bower House: een prachtig en ruim huis met een met zorg aangelegde tuin, een eigen olijfboomgaard en een heerlijk zwembad om in af te koelen. Wij waren hier met een familie van vijf personen en liepen elkaar bepaald niet voor de voeten. De woonkamer, keuken, drie slaapkamers en de twee badkamers zijn ruim en heel sfeervol en praktisch ingericht. Verder is het huis van alle gemakken voorzien en vooral heel schoon want hygiëne staat hoog in ’t vaandel in Bower House. Bij aankomst werden wij hartelijk ontvangen door Melanie en Bryan. Al snel werd ons duidelijk dat onze gastheer en gastvrouw niets aan het toeval overlaten. Zo bevindt zich in het huis meer dan voldoende informatie over de omgeving, wat te doen, wat te zien, waar te eten. Eigenlijk hoef je nergens over na te denken. Echt vakantie! Heerlijk! Nogmaals heel hartelijk dank Melanie en Bryan voor jullie fantastische gastvrijheid. Wij vonden het allemaal heerlijk om bij jullie te zijn en hebben ontzettend genoten van jullie prachtige huis.

It was more than a treat to be able to stay here for a week. Located on a hill in an oasis of tranquility with fantastic views everywhere you look. Bower House: a beautiful and spacious house with a carefully landscaped garden, its own olive grove and a lovely swimming pool to cool off in. We were here with a family of five and did not get in each other's way. The living room, kitchen, three bedrooms and two bathrooms are spacious and very attractively decorated as well as very practical. Furthermore, the house is fully equipped and above all very clean, because hygiene is of paramount importance in Bower House. On arrival we were warmly welcomed by Melanie and Bryan. It soon became clear to us that our hosts leave nothing to chance. In the house there is more than enough information about the area, what to do, what to see, where to eat. You don't really have to think about anything. Real vacation! Thank you again Melanie and Bryan for your wonderful hospitality. We all loved being with you and really enjoyed your beautiful home. Here our review : Bower House 5* 2021

We had a great stay Mid-July at the Bower House Estate ! Mel and Bryan are fantastic hosts and have been very forthcoming in all aspects. The house is embedded in a beautiful natural environment, magnificent views in all directions including to the sea too. The entire atmosphere is very relaxing and enables to completely to unwind and totally relax. 5-10 min by car to the next village/Petalidi which has some nice restaurants and shops for buying your groceries. Along the coast line to Koroni you can find many nice beach spots, but also not far away to the other side/Pylos and Methoni where you can find great spots for good swimming.

The entire area is still unspoiled from mass tourism and still rather authentic Greek.

The house has a beautiful infinity pool with a great view, perfectly equipped with chairs etc. and a nice outdoor grill. The house is in great shape, perfectly equipped and offers all you need including kitchen utensils and spices etc.

It is very obvious to see that during offseason, Mel and Bryan live there ! it is not just a house for renting purposes only !

Overall, one of the really nicest and most beautiful houses we have stayed in in the past years !

A fabulous family holiday. The villa 5* 2021

We had an epic journey to get to the Bower House, but it was so worth it. Mel and Bryan were the most considerate of hosts, and we had many occasions to be grateful for their presence downstairs (the wine in the chiller, chemists open on a Sunday and the nearest covid test centre spring to mind).

The house is beautifully equipped and were it not for the many great places to visit that are highlighted in the information book, we might not have left at all. But we fell in love with the nearby beach, and delighted in our trips up and down the coast (Koroni and Ancient Messini are especially recommended).

Mel and Bryan’s knowledge of local tavernas was another insight not to be missed. We would all love to return: there’s lots more to see and do. And NB to future visitors: Bryan’s olive wood bowls and other carvings are fabulous, and you should not leave the Bower House without some.

It was a real pleasure to be able to share your "little piece of heaven on earth" . It was exactly what the doctor ordered. Feeling relaxed and full of renewed energy...(lets see how long it lasts). By now you would have welcomed to your next lucky guests.... I hope they will enjoy your home as much as we did.

Amazing holiday in a stunning location - The Villa 5*

Our two week family holiday at Bower House was truly wonderful. Mel and Bryan were wonderful hosts and, despite living on site, were discreet and very respectful of our privacy whilst also being only a “toot” away when we needed them. The house was beautifully decorated and equipped with everything we could need and more and truly stunning views from the balcony, gallery and every window in every direction! The infinity pool (along with the huge array of inflatables, snorkels, woggles etc) was a particular highlight for our four children, and the sun loungers were the perfect comfortable spot from high to watch them play whilst relaxing in the sun. The outdoor kitchen and bbq area were a great addition and we spent many meals sat under the shady trees enjoying the delicious local food. The information booklet that Mel and Bryan put together was crammed full of recommended tavernas and places to visit (along with the all important directions!), many of which were little gems we would never have found without their insider knowledge. The whole area is a beautiful little slice of paradise and it truly was a holiday we will never forget. Thank you Mel and Bryan, you really did think of everything!

" We stayed at The Bower House for a week in August. This was our first visit to this region and we loved the beaches, local food and the total relaxation we were able to find at the villa. We were given an incredibly warm welcome by Mel and Bryan, and they both made a great effort to ensure our children (15 and 14) were comfortable and

included in everything. The house was spacious and very well equipped - the pool was a real highlight and the lounge chairs were the perfect place to relax and read. There were chairs in different locations around the house so that you could sit and play cards on the bedroom balcony and look along the coastline, or sit in the garden under the shade of the trees. We were particularly delighted with being able to use the telescope in such a stunning setting - the night sky was incredible. Mel and Bryan both took time to recommend places they thought we would enjoy and made available cool bags, and beach umbrellas and everything you needed to make the most of the places that we visited. Bryan also went out of his way to assist us in sourcing wine to take to the next part of our holiday. Their input definitely enriched our holiday as they were able to direct us to great restaurants and unique beaches that we wouldn't had known to find.

RUTH WILLIAMS REVIEW We really enjoyed our stay at Bower House. we had teenagers and a not-very-mobile granny in our party, but the beautiful setting and proximity to attractions and amenities (ruins, water sports, tavernas) plus the swimming pool, BBQ, boules, cribbage board, Wi-fi etc, meant that everyone was happy. Mel and Bryan went out of their way to be helpful without ever being intrusive; the design of the house means that, although they live on site, we were barely aware of them, but then they were always available if needed. There was a very useful book of suggestions as to where we might go, but they also came up with additional suggestions and information once they had an idea of our interests. Extras, like washing, and restocking the fridge with drinks and topping up Wi-fi were charged at very reasonable or cost prices. FIVE STAR - R Williams -

Wonderful holiday at bower house - The Villa 5*

We have just had a wonderful holiday at Bower House. The House itself is in a stunning setting, you could never tire of the views. The welcome from Mel and Bryan was incredibly warm they have thought of everything that you could possibly need to relax and unwind. The house, pool and BBQ area are very well equipped – boules, games, beach stuff to borrow, all cooking accessories etc. Our 3 children's highlight was definitely the pool and its inflatable selection, ours was the invite to the local village music night. It's a beautiful area of Greece to explore and the house has an extremely useful guidebook recommending restaurants, beaches and archaeological sites nearby. If we had any questions we could contact Mel and Bryan and they always seemed to go over and above to help us have a great time. We'd love to return. FIVE STAR. Cath and James, Surrey. August 2017

A truly unforgettable holiday - The Villa 5*

In the beautiful and well equipped kitchen, there is a quote from Seneca saying 'it is because we do not dare that things are difficult'. Brian and Melanie, the lovely owners of Bower House Estate definitely dared to deliver their amazing dream of building their superb dream house with amazing views on the mountains and the sea. It was a real privilege of having been able to stay two wonderful weeks enjoying superb weather in their house which is equipped with all (and even more) what you expect from a luxurious holiday house. Bower House is very spacious and comfortable and the children enjoyed every minute in the large swimming pool. The owners are always very discrete but also very keen to help when needed (they even came to our rescue when our rental car broke down) and very helpful in recommending the local restaurants and shops, beaches and attractions of which there are plenty. The experience for us as a family with three children (aged between 14 and 10) was a truly unforgettable family holiday. Highlights were a unique sailing trip (organised by the owners), the visit of ancient Olympia (which was very special just before the Rio Olympics and with excellent driving instructions from Brian), the discovery of the amazing beaches in the area, the delicious meals with view on the sea and of course all the moments enjoying Bower House.

A very nice family villa 5*

At the beginning of July my family enjoyed a week long visit to Bower House Estate. The beautiful house is situated in the most stunning location overlooking the neighbouring hills and the tops of the surrounding forest trees and with a sea view. It is an extremely private and peaceful place where we were able to relax around the pool or enjoy family fun in the pool on the lilo's. Mel and Bryan were excellent hosts, there when we needed them, providing us with very good information on local beaches and places to visit and very discreet at other times enabling us to have quality time as a family. The villa, pool and grounds were maintained to the highest standard and extremely safe. The local village is typically Greek and very friendly. There are a number of cafes, bars and restaurants all reasonably priced and a couple of supermarkets if you want to have a barbecue at the house - followed by a game of boules - great fun. This holiday was a villa holiday with a difference, one we shall certainly repeat.

Lovely secluded villa with swimming pool 5*

We are a family with 3 young kids (5,7,9) who came to Bower House to stay for a week. We were very warmly welcomed by our hosts who continued to look after us for the entire week. Bower house is a lovely property, beautiful rooms, well equipped kitchen, stunning views all around including from the infinity pool and most importantly a really nice outdoor kitchen & barbecue area! Mel and Brian were extremely helpful when it came to suggesting places to visit, things to see and things to do in the area. Given that they live downstairs in the property, a helping hand was never far away. We warmly recommend Bower House as a great place to stay and explore Peloponnese!

A stunning setting and beautiful home from home - The Villa 5*

We are a family of 4 with 2 children of 7 and 5 and this was our first villa holiday. It was such a lovely contrast to our first week in a resort and such a beautiful setting. Mel and Bryan made our lives so easy - we particularly loved the folder of day trip ideas with such clear instructions of how to get there, where to eat nearby that we were able to explore the local area so easily. The house is really well set up for relaxing too - the pool was always so clean and the setting stunning onto the hills. With a variety of places to sit and eat, and different areas of the garden to play in and explore the kids had a fabulous time. The bathrooms were all really lovely standard, and the beds too and a really lovely kitchen. The kids loved the water dispenser from the fridge as that was a novelty for them! It's a wonderful home and beautifully kept with particularly good service in terms of grocery shopping, getting washing done and helping us make the most of our time there. Thank you! A touch of luxury off the beaten track - The villa 5*

We arrived at Bower House after an exhausting 16 hour journey, and found a large, luxurious and very beautiful villa, with some basic food supplies, a fully stocked drinks fridge and two friendly, hospitable hosts to welcome us - it was a perfect moment! The house itself suited us very well as a family with two younger teenage children. Noting previous comments about the stairs, it is true that they are open, but that was fine for us. The pool and barbecue were a real cut above - and much used! The nearby beaches were just perfect, I think we were the only British people there, some times we were the only non- Greeks on the beach. Tourist attractions were within driving distance however, we visited ancient Messini, had a go at Scuba diving and visited the harbour at Koroni, all drive-able within 2 hours. Bower House is ideal for families who want to sneak away to the hills, watch the sun set (or rise) from one of the many balconies, take in the spectacular view and enjoy local Tavernas where the menu depends on that day's catch, and the fruit is fresh and succulent. Mel and Bryan took a lot of time and trouble to make our stay as good as it could be.
